The Bentley Continental GT is a two-door ‘two plus two’ grand touring coupe.

The Continental GT’s 6-litre engine is configured in four banks of three cylinders in a W formation.

The result is a shorter and much more compact unit which allows for significantly more interior space and improved dynamics.

Twin turbochargers boost the power output to an astonishing 552bhp (411kW/560PS), however the Continental GT benefits from internal efficiency improvements resulting in a reduction in CO2 emissions and fuel consumption.

Its supercar status is reconfirmed by a top speed of 198mph (318km/h) and a 0-60mph time of just 4.6 seconds (0-100km/h in 4.8 seconds)

The standard range of 16 exterior paint colours appeals to a wide variety of tastes. A bespoke exterior paint match service to personal specification or additional colours from the Arnage range are also available. All colour combinations are available on the Bentley Configurator.

It takes as many as 14 hides – and 135 metres of thread – to trim the inside of a Continental GT. Burr Walnut with its intricate natural patterns is the standard wood veneer with six other styles of handcrafted unbleached wood veneer also available.

The Bentley woodshop prides itself on a centuries old tradition of handcrafting wood veneers from the finest natural materials.

In the two weeks that it takes to prepare the wood for the interior, the veneers are given five coats of lacquer and three days of curing time before being wax polished by hand. Bentley uses no bleaching; the rich colour of the wood veneers is entirely natural.
