If you’ve got a cracked windshield, it’s important to have a replacement windshield properly installed. If the windshield is not properly installed, it could collapse in an accident, crush your head into your neck and leave you severely injured or worse - dead.

Airbags shield passengers by bouncing off the windshield and hitting the passenger, so if the auto glass is not properly installed, the airbag can push the windshield out of its frame and leave passengers prone to severe injury.

Windshield glass in older cars is often held in place by molded rubber gaskets or butyl tape with metal molding. Neither the rubber gaskets nor butyl tape are strong enough to hold your windshield in, so don’t use them!
