Porsche is introducing a new top version of the Porsche Boxster, a light mid-engined roadster making its world debut at the Los Angeles Motor Show.

December 7th, 2009 igoee The new Porsche Boxster S variant was introduced with a larger 3.2 litre motor, and the base model received a more powerful 2.7 litre engine.
The design of the Boxster models is governed by one philosophy above all: that the styling of a Porsche reflects its inner values.
The Porsche Boxster S presents an even more athletic interpretation of the roadster concept. More powerful and more efficient. Its brand engine is now fitted with direct fuel injection (DFI) as standard. For increased torque and power – with a simultaneous reduction in fuel consumption. The result is 228 kW (310 hp) at 6,400 rpm and a maximum torque of 360 Nm at 4,400 – 5,500 rpm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.3 seconds.

GT3
With the 997 series in full production, Porsche is preparing to roll out even more new 911-based vehicles in the next year and a half. The first fruits of the company’s labors will be the highly anticipated 911 GT3, as can be seen in these spy shots.
