At some point in your life, the <strong>windshield</strong> on your car will probably get a chip or ding in it, sometimes you may even get a larger splinter that slowly increase in size over time.</p>
<p><span id="more-395"></span></p>
<p><a href="http://www.igoee.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Windshield1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-397" title="Windshield1" src="http://www.igoee.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Windshield1.jpg" alt="Windshield1" width="509" height="562" /></a></p>
<p>Not only can they be ugly to look at, but they can be potentially dangerous with a weakened zone that may completely crumble.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.igoee.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Windshield-tips.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-398" title="Windshield tips" src="http://www.igoee.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Windshield-tips.jpg" alt="Windshield tips" width="450" height="289" /></a></p>
<p>Windshield repair has become something that even a car owner can do by themselves. In many cases, windshields are not salvageable and we understand at that point a new one will be needed.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;ve got a cracked windshield, it&#8217;s important to have a replacement <strong>windshield</strong> properly installed. If the <strong>windshield</strong> is not properly installed, it could collapse in an accident, crush your head into your neck and leave you severely injured or worse - dead.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.igoee.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Windshield-tips-Replace-Windshield.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-399" title="Windshield tips - Replace Windshield" src="http://www.igoee.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Windshield-tips-Replace-Windshield.jpg" alt="Windshield tips - Replace Windshield" width="510" height="382" /></a></p>
<p>Airbags shield passengers by bouncing off the<strong> windshield</strong> and hitting the passenger, so if the auto glass is not properly installed, the airbag can push the windshield out of its frame and leave passengers prone to severe injury.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.igoee.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Replace-Automobile-Windshield-Glass.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-400" title="Replace Automobile Windshield Glass" src="http://www.igoee.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Replace-Automobile-Windshield-Glass.jpg" alt="Replace Automobile Windshield Glass" width="400" height="204" /></a></p>
<p>It&#8217;s even possible that passengers can be thrown from the vehicle through the empty windshield frame.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.igoee.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/2009-aston-martin-vantage-v8-side.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-402" title="2009-aston-martin-vantage-v8-side" src="http://www.igoee.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/2009-aston-martin-vantage-v8-side.jpg" alt="2009-aston-martin-vantage-v8-side" width="480" height="320" /></a><a href="http://www.igoee.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Windshield-tips1.jpg"></a></p>
<p>Windshield glass in older cars is often held in place by molded rubber gaskets or butyl tape with metal molding. Neither the rubber gaskets nor butyl tape are strong enough to hold your windshield in, so don’t use them!</p>
